Grupo Hermosillo signed an agreement with Tecnológico de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus, on July 6 to formalize an annual donation to the Asociación de Estudiantes Bajacalifornianos en Monterrey A.C. (AEBMAC).

The agreement will remain in effect for three years and reinforces the company’s longstanding support for the association. Founded in 1954, AEBMAC is dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for students from Baja California pursuing their studies at Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Through fundraising initiatives, AEBMAC provides comprehensive scholarships that include tuition and housing assistance. The association also manages two student residences—one for women and one for men—where scholarship recipients live while completing their academic programs.

Grupo Hermosillo’s annual donation will support the operation and maintenance of these student residences, helping ensure that more young people can continue their professional education away from their hometowns.

The student representative of the association expressed her appreciation for Grupo Hermosillo’s support and highlighted its impact:

“For us, it means having better living and learning conditions, and it motivates us to continue striving every day.”

This collaboration further strengthens the institutional relationship between Grupo Hermosillo and Tecnológico de Monterrey, continuing an initiative the company has championed to promote education and talent development.

In addition to this agreement, Grupo Hermosillo has been a donor to Tecnológico de Monterrey’s Líderes del Mañana (Leaders of Tomorrow) program for several years, which provides scholarships covering 50% of tuition for undergraduate degree programs.

The impact of this program is already reflected in the success of its participants. One scholarship recipient completed her professional internship at Grupo Hermosillo and, after graduating, joined the company’s Mexico City Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This semester, a second scholarship recipient graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. Continuing this commitment, Grupo Hermosillo has also welcomed two new architecture students from the program to complete their professional internships with the company.

This initiative holds special significance for Grupo Hermosillo, as Tecnológico de Monterrey is the alma mater of the company’s founder, Víctor Hermosillo Celada, as well as many of its employees. Through this agreement, Grupo Hermosillo reaffirms its commitment to quality education, talent development, and creating opportunities for future generations.
