What has led you to be where you are now?
Since I was 16 I started working in the industry as an assistant to construction professionals. 2 years later, and with the decision on the doorstep about my professional career, I decided to continue this path and studied Architecture. After graduating in 1990, I got into all sorts of challenges, from the government sector, at CFE, and as Undersecretary of Economics of Baja California. I have also worked with multiple real estates developers such as Promocasa, Grupo Geo, and IAMSA. It was until 2013 that I started as Business Unit Director at Hermosillo.
How would you describe your work to a person who doesn’t work within the construction industry?
I’d say that we do “city.” Meaning, we build the environment in which we live in. The materialization of cities and their infrastructure is our field of action and responsibility.
What is the biggest challenge you have faced while working in Hermosillo? How did you manage to overcome it?
Improving the performance of SBU Mexicali.
