Omagro was designed and constructed based on the best practices of fertilizer management we learned from visiting existing facilities in Colombia and receiving direct recommendations from the product’s manufacturer. This facility presented a lot of challenges, since it’s located in the gulf city of Veracruz, where winds and humidity exceed the average of other cities. The complete facility (interior floors, structure, and walls) was designed and constructed to support constant corrosive action by chemical compounds such as sulphate, chloride and nitrate, which are part of the fertilizers mixed and stored inside the facility. The concrete interior division walls for the material bins were designed to support loads for different fertilizer materials which are deposited from an aerial conveyor.
