As part of our commitment to education, innovation, and talent development, we participated in the third edition of “Women and Girls in Science 2026,” organized by the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), Mexicali campus.

This initiative aims to foster interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among girls and young women through conferences, workshops, mentoring, and industry engagement activities.

In this edition, 838 girls and young women took part in a day focused on learning, curiosity, and the exploration of new academic and professional opportunities.

As part of the program, we contributed to dialogue and engagement spaces, sharing with participants the importance of exploring different fields of knowledge, finding inspiration in role models, and taking advantage of the opportunities the industry offers.

Additionally, through initiatives led by our sustainability team, we continue to support projects like this that help close gaps and create more inclusive environments in the scientific and technological fields.

At Hermosillo, we are proud to be part of initiatives that nurture talent from an early age, promoting a future where more women actively participate in the development of science and engineering.
