What led you to be where you are now?

In 2002, I graduated from Computer Systems at UABC. My working life began with a government job, in which I managed to implement and certify a Quality Management System and win the Baja California Award for Quality and Competitiveness.

Now, I have been working with Hermosillo for a little more than 4 years to strengthen the company’s Risk Management System. In March 2021 I completed an executive master’s degree in risk management from the Spanish Business School EALDE.

What motivated you to work in the construction industry?

I got in Hermosillo by invitation and I am still here out of conviction. For over 10 years I have been deeply involved in the implementation and maintenance of Quality and Risk Management systems. For the time being, Hermosillo has allowed me to implement mechanisms that have allowed us to have timely information for decision-making.

What is your role within Hermosillo and how would you describe it to a person who doesn’t work in the industry?

As a Risk Analyst, I am responsible for monitoring the main risks of construction projects. However, my main goal is to enforce actions to improve the results and thereby prevent the risks from happening.

What is the job achievement you are most proud of?

To have achieved a STRONG evaluation by Deloitte in our Risk Management System.

What do you like most about working at Hermosillo?

Three things. The first one is that It is a company that encourages my professional development. It also has a great human sense and it is a company that is always looking to improve itself.

What do you consider to be the most important life lesson you’ve learned so far?

That opportunities are given in any given instant and I must be prepared to take advantage of them.

Who inspires you and why?

I am inspired by people who do not give up, who fight for their dreams, and who are willing to break paradigms.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Reading, walking, and meeting with my friends.

Something not many knows about you:

I like to participate in social causes.
