Like on previous years, our VDC team participated as speakers at Autodesk University 2020, the most relevant event for design and construction professionals. For the first time, the event was held 100% online due to the pandemic. Nevertheless, Autodesk’s community knowledge-sharing spirit stayed. For four days straight, professionals from all over the world talked about what they are passionate about. There were topics for everyone, from BIM, cloud collaboration, and data management, to software development and AR/VR technologies.
Daniela Gutierrez and Arturo Flores represented Hermosillo with the industry talk, “IPD: A Lean and BIM Approach with BIM 360”. Their main focus was to showcase the BIM & Lean frameworks that allowed the sharing of timely information between teams using technology. The latter, as a response to what the current construction environment demands. It is a great challenge to standardize communication between the involved teams that have their unique workflows and tools. In this industry talk, our team provided the main insights on how Autodesk’s BIM 360 platform was the best solution.
Here you can listen to their whole presentation.
Being an online-only event was compelling, as Daniela and Arturo mentioned, “This global experience surpassed our expectations and allowed us to keep sharing our best practices to the community regardless of the current situation.”
We are proud of our team and their commitment to their careers. We can’t wait for next year. Congratulations!
