At Hermosillo, we believe safety goes beyond protocols — it is a culture built every day through prevention, participation, and the commitment of every person involved in our projects.

In commemoration of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28 and Día de la Santa Cruz on May 3, we successfully carried out the third edition of our Safety Week 2026 across several active projects within the MXL-BJX Business Unit.

For the third consecutive year, this initiative brought together hundreds of collaborators during a week dedicated to reinforcing awareness around safety, health, and environmental care through dynamic, educational, and innovative activities.

A Week to Learn, Participate, and Reinforce Prevention

This year’s edition focused on creating experiences that allowed our personnel to learn in a practical and engaging way while actively participating in every activity.

Among the main activities carried out during the week were three highly interactive workshops:

  • 100 Workers Said
  • Confined Space Rescue Simulation
  • Environmental Workshop

In addition, recreational and educational dynamics were organized, including:

  • “Equip the Worker with PPE”
  • “Safety Lottery”

These activities helped reinforce key prevention and jobsite safety concepts in an interactive way while promoting teamwork, integration, and hands-on learning.

Each workshop and activity was filled with moments of learning, collaboration, and fun. Participants also had the opportunity to win commemorative Safety Week 2026 prizes, further strengthening enthusiasm and commitment toward our safety culture.

Participation Across Our Projects

Safety Week 2026 included participation from collaborators across active projects in Querétaro, Irapuato, Mexicali, and Ciudad Juárez, reaching a total of 803 participants.

The participating projects included:

  • PSF Conversion – Querétaro
  • Kerry Kukulcan – Irapuato, Guanajuato
  • Siemens STM – Santa Teresa, Guanajuato
  • PSF Máquina 10 / Acceso Carretero – Mexicali
  • BD Oasis – Ciudad Juárez

Once again, the level of participation exceeded expectations, demonstrating that safety is a shared value among all teams in Hermosillo.

A Closing Event that Recognized the Commitment of Our People

To conclude this important week, each project held a team gathering and commemorative activities for all personnel.

These activities included:

  • Commemorative masses
  • Recognition awards for outstanding personnel
  • Awards for the winners of the cross-making contest
  • Recognition for children participating in the drawing contest

These moments allowed us to recognize not only the commitment of our jobsite personnel, but also the participation of their families, who are an important part of our organizational culture.

Building a Safety Culture Every Day

At Hermosillo, we firmly believe that a strong safety culture is built through continuous training, active participation, and collective commitment.

The third edition of our Safety Week reaffirms our commitment to promoting safer, more responsible, and people-centered work environments for everyone.

We sincerely thank every collaborator, contractor, organizer, and family member who made Safety Week 2026 possible. Together, we will continue building a culture where safety always comes first.
